Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at Children’s Specialized Hospital and the NJDC2015NJ organizing committee is pleased to announce the following about
the 2015 National Junior DisabilityChampionshipsTM.
Location: Most competitions will be in various parks of the Union County NJ Parks System

Cranford Community Pool, Township of Cranford, NJ (SC 25 yard, 6 laneindoor pool)
Host Hotel: Renaissance Hotel Woodbridge, 515 US Highway 1 South, Iselin, NJ 08830.
GPS address: 401 Gill Lane, Iselin, NJ 08830. The hotel is approximately 11 miles or about 15-20 minutes from each of the venues, and is large enough to provide the opportunity for allcompetitors to be housed in one location. The games rate will be $129 per night (plus taxes) for aroom with either two queen beds or a king bed with a pull out sofa that is a queen size bed. This event is one of the largest integrated races in the country, as wheelchair athletes compete on the same course, at the same time, as the runners. Racers compete for cash prizes! An extra $3,000 has been added to the cash awards, which brings the cash prize total to over $15,000 this year!
The Wheelchair 10K begins at 8:15am, with registration opening at 7am. Registration is $25 per racer. All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt. Kessler Foundation will host a brief awards ceremony with refreshments immediately following the Wheelchair 10K.

During the weekend of May 22 -24, the 45th Tri-State Wheelchair & Ambulatory Games will be held at Overpeck Park in Palisades Park, New Jersey. IPC endorsed track & field events and a 5K road race will be contested. Wheelchair & Ambulatory Sports USA is pleased to announce the hiring of Susan B. Rossi of Littleton, CO as the new interim Executive Director of WASUSA. Many of you know Susan from her work at US Paralympics, where she served as the Paralympic Sport Outreach and Development Manager but Susan's background in the area of sports for the disabled goes back many years. Susan was an Adaptive Sports and Recreation Manager with the City of Mesa (AZ) Parks & Recreation Department, working closely with Arizona Disabled Sports and other DSO's. Her work history also includes stints at the Breckenridge (CO) Outdoor Recreation Center, the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and the Northwest Special Recreation Program of Rolling Meadows, IL.
Susan holds a BS from the University of Kansas in Exercise and Sport Science and a MS in Non-Profit Studies & Leadership Management from Arizona State University. In addition, Susan holds a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist certification.
Susan will begin her duties with WASUSA on January 20th. We are looking forward to utilizing Susan's expertise, experience and knowledge to further the mission of Wheelchair & Ambulatory Sports USA in providing quality competitive sports and recreational opportunities to individuals with physical disabilities, as Wheelchair & Ambulatory Sports USA has done since 1956.
The fee for chapter membership in 2015 remains at $225.00. In addition to having a voice on the RPO council, chapter membership allows you the following benefits:
